The mission of NU ASCE is to help their constituents develop interpersonal relationships and professionalism through various extracurricular activities and community service projects within the field of civil engineering.

BESS: Black Engineering Student Society
The BESS mission is to form a network for and solidarity among student engineers, building a support system for engineers to ensure that they would stay in the field.

Concrete Canoe
Each year close to 200 American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapters build canoes made entirely of concrete.

EWB: Engineers Without Borders, NU Student Chapter
EWB-USA NEU aids communities in developing countries by using engineering solutions to address basic human needs, such as the need for potable water – all the while supplying our student members with educational, transformative experiences.

Generate
Generate is Northeastern University’s student-led product development studio. We contribute to the growth of start-ups at Northeastern University by educating engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs about product development and the integration of business and engineering.

GWISE: Graduate Women in Science and Engineering
GWISE is a group of graduate students and postdocs designed to assist in the professional and personal advancement of women in science and engineering at Northeastern University.

IGH: Innovators for Global Health at Northeastern University
Innovators for Global Health is dedicated to improving global health through biomedical engineering. Through IGH, students develop the skills and knowledge to tackle technical and design challenges in global health.

NEWEA: New England Water Environment Association, NU Student Chapter
The New England Water Environment Association is a dynamic organization of over 2100 highly qualified and motivated Water and Wastewater Professionals from throughout New England, who volunteer their time, energy and expertise in order to preserve, protect and manage one of our most precious resources here in New England, our water environment.
