VHB’s Managing Director Mark Junghans Join’s CEE Industrial Advisory Board

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is pleased to announce that Mark Junghans will be joining our Industrial Advisory Board (IAB), beginning with the Fall 2025 semester. The IAB is a dedicated group of distinguished civil and environmental engineers to advise the Department on matters related to research, development, curriculum, cooperative education, student organizations, and other important functions related to our department’s mission.

Mark Junghans (B.S.C.E. 1987) is a Senior Principal and Managing Director at Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB), a Massachusetts headquartered Engineering, Planning and Environmental Sciences firm with 2,000 employees and offices up the East coast from Florida to Maine. Mark manages the firm’s Massachusetts Land Development, Planning and Design practice. He has over 37 years of experience with 32 of those years spent at VHB in various roles while managing some of the VHB’s largest and most complex land development projects. Representative projects include 111 Huntington Avenue, the Pinehills development in Plymouth, various projects on Harvard’s Business School campus, the Landmark Center Redevelopment in the Fenway and Broad Institute in Cambridge Center. Mark sits on the Urban Land Institute Advisory Board and is active in ACEC and NAIOP.
