Secretary Stephanie Pollack Speaks at CEE Industry Leadership Night
On Tuesday, December 1st the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and the CEE Industrial Advisory Board hosted the 5th annual CEE Industry Leadership Night. Stephanie Pollack, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, was this year’s guest speaker. Secretary Pollack gave an excellent talk that emphasized that civil engineering projects must be designed consciously to target and integrate a broad spectrum of needs of the general public. Provost James Bean, College of Engineering Dean Nadine Aubry, and CEE Chair Jerry Hajjar also provided an update on the university, college, and department. This year's event included over 100 students, faculty and industry leaders.
