The International Association for Wind Engineering Course on Thunderstorm Impact Modeling
CEE Professor Luca Caracoglia co-coordinated the upcoming International Association for Wind Engineering course titled “Modeling of Nonstationary Thunderstorm Winds and Their Impact on Structures and Infrastructures,” taking place May 25–29, 2026. It offers a comprehensive review of boundary-layer meteorology and fluid-structure interactions to address the current lack of nonstationary wind hazard modeling in global design standards.
