CEE students win DN Tanks Scholarships

Northeastern University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering students Colin Hug, E'20, and Aaron Kline, E'20, were recently awarded DN Tanks Scholarships in recognition of their work for the company. DN Tanks, Inc. is a civil engineering firm that designs and builds liquid storage tanks for projects around the world. The scholarships honor two interns or co-op students who “make unique contributions and exhibit DN Tank’s Core Values.” This year, both scholarship winners were from Northeastern University.

For Colin, this co-op represented his second time working with the company, where he returned to work in their Concrete Tank Services (CTS) Department armed with the skills to make an impact. “With Colin’s help, we executed several large projects across the United States and submitted multiple bids and proposals each week. Colin’s hard work and attention to detail made him a valuable member of the CTS team,” said DN Tanks in a statement about the scholarships.

Aaron also returned to DN Tanks for a second co-op, assisting their Philadelphia, PA team with a field assignment. On the job, he exhibited dedication, hard work and an enthusiasm to tackle new projects. “He assisted with the quality control of thousands of cubic yards of concrete, came in at 3:00 a.m. on multiple days for large pours and excelled at any and all other tasks given to him,” said DN Tanks.

Congratulations to Aaron and Colin for their well-deserved scholarship wins!
