About STReSSThe Laboratory for Structural Testing of Resilient and Sustainable Systems (STReSS Laboratory) at Northeastern University is a 4,000 square-foot research facility in Burlington, Mass., in the heart of the I-95 Technology Corridor.
The STReSS Lab also includes a loading dock, staging area, machine shop, and control room, and a 20-ton-capacity crane to enable construction and transfer of test specimens up to 18 feet tall. The STReSS Lab is available for multi-scale and coupled experimental, computational, and field investigations across several disciplines of civil engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering mechanics, biomechanics, materials science, architecture, and related fields. Partnership with industry is a core goal of the laboratory. Contract testing services are available as well as opportunities to partner on research.
